Woo Hoo, I have a new friend named Doris. I knocked on her door a couple of weeks ago and asked if she would mind if myself and Pauline took pictures of theTulips that lined her sidewalk. She invited us in and....she had an awesome story. She must be in her 80's because her son is in his 60's, but she doesn't appear to be 60 herself. Her grandson was just accepted to Harvard Law and she is extatic about it. Awesome....She told me the story of a life that I can only just imagine having lived. Her friend worked as secretary in the White House through several admins including Eisenhower and Johnson. She has in her lovely home a flag that hung in the white house during the term of Eisenhower. How neat is that??? Anyway, she graciously granted us permission to take as many pictures of whatever we wanted inside our out. We did. I want to share some of these tulips etc with you for your enjoyment. Fun Photography Trip to Historic Old Washington, Arkansas
Saturday was a blast with good friends and great stuff to take pictures of. Historic buildings, modern day puppies, a camel, goats, sheep, donkeys, including donkey baby with mom. The wysteria were in massive bloom and the dogwoods were ethereal. A trip inside a re-enacetment bunkhouse held some pleasant surprises, and oh, by the way, they do still have outhouses in Arkansas....I had always refuted that claim, but I was wrong.
